Real life television... what do I mean about this? Have you ever been in a real life situation and thought to yourself... wow, is this scripted? Or hey this guy is far to into his character to not be acting? I bring this up because as I worked my job at a convention center venue, I was teamed up with another employee. I figured I'd be nice, so I said hello to the guy...
It certainly didn't take him long to respond... and three seconds later i knew about his three kids, his ex wife, his pet potbelly, and most importantly his other job. A Heavy Equipment Operator. Oh yeah, my night was set. He went through all the basics... why working on a combine is better than a tractor... how to change a... well I don't remember, but he told me. Needless to say, the guy went on and on about all these different machines, and all i did was smile and doze off.
I have two regular places I eat at on campus. They both have their regular characters. One has Joe... he wipes down tables and mumbles beyond the recognition of words. Then there is Andy who takes a couple of minutes to respond to the last thing i said... plus he enjoys talking football... wether you want to or not. Both are great guys, they just seem like they belong in the sitcom setting. Now that you've finished this post... I'm sure you'll agree, I hope this guy isn't serious.
