Three Fake Dollars?

I was walking into a Walgreen's today (just because I was board) and this nice man wearing a basketball jersey and shorts that well... they could have been much longer, approached me. His shoes were black and torn revealing dirty white socks and his smile was almost completely yellow, except for where there were no teeth. My first thought when I saw him was, "ah yes... I've had those long chats with girlfriends too (sorry ladies)," but once that popped out of my head I went to the more obvious (well more obvious now) conclusion that this guy was homeless.
WRONG AGAIN. He assured me that the streets of the city were his home, which kind of sucks, because that is a long walk to the bathroom. I told him he should really clean up the place if he's going to have so many guests. He didn't like that comment.
Anyway, he asked me for three dollars. I said sure man and went for my pocket, but I don't think that was enough. He felt the need to sell me his case. He said he had just moved from Kenya and told me that President Obama's father was from Kenya. Not knowing how exactly to respond to that, I pulled my wallet out. I'm not sure if you ever stop to give homeless people money, but I always find it awkward when I go to pull out that three dollars and a twenty falls out... "Oh hey... what's that doing there? I guess its my lucky day..." Have you ever had a homeless person check for the watermark on the bill as well? "Oh I'm sorry did I accidentally give you my fake Ones? Shoot."
We are lucky to have those people though. They are just a small percentage of homeless people, and without them, I'm not sure how aware of the problem I would be. Next time you see a homeless person, don't tell them to get a job, give them a couple bucks and tell them to get a meal... then maybe you can suggest a place where they can find work... if i can get any people of power to read this (if I can get anyone to read this...) hire them yourself. It maybe a risky investment, but you've seen how those pay off. P.S. I'm not homeless... yet... but once this college thing is over, I'll be looking for a job. hint hint.
